Mohamed N. Mahomed, M.D., fellowship-trained total joint replacement, general orthopaedic, trauma, fracture care and arthroscopy surgeon, joined Kansas Joint & Spine Specialists on May 1. Dr. Mahomed is available to see patients in Wichita at the practice's East location, 10100 E. Shannon Woods Circle, Suite 100, and West location, 750 N. Socora, Suite 200, as well as in Scott City at Scott County Hospital, 201 Albert Ave.

As a fellowship-trained total joint replacement and arthroscopic knee surgeon, Dr. Mahomed’s expertise includes a wide variety of advanced procedures and techniques, including hip and knee injections, hip replacement, knee arthroscopy, knee replacement, and patellofemoral replacement.

After receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Toronto, Dr. Mahomed completed an internship in general and orthopaedic surgery at the Michael Garron Hospital, also in Toronto. He received his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto as well as his advanced total joint and general orthopaedic fellowship training. Following his fellowship, Dr. Mahomed received further specialty training with an additional fellowship in arthroplasty and adult reconstruction at the University of Bern in Bern, Switzerland.
