My Comeback Story: Virdell S.

Family

During December, 2025, I experienced limited use of my left arm, and by the 26th was in pain. During rotator cuff surgery in March, Dr. Justin Strickland discovered old damage in addition to the recent issues. I was fortunate to experience very little pain in the first six weeks following surgery. My physical therapist was very patient with me by explaining the purpose of the various exercises and helping me learn the proper way to do them. It’s been four months now, and I have probably 95% use of my arm - I can blow-dry and style my hair, retrieve dishes from the second shelf in the kitchen, lift medium-sized grocery bags, pick up my fat cat, etc. When my physical therapy ended, my therapist, Justin, gave me exercises to do at home, and because I do them, my arm continues to gain strength. I thank both Dr. Strickland and my therapist for my recovery; they know how to help!
